Micro Planner X-Pert

X-Pert is designed to deliver the power and flexibility demanded by managers responsible for the integration of multiple projects within an overall corporate environment or the delivery of a single major project. Project data can be easily merged or imported from other X-Pert files as well as from other Micro Planner systems and Microsoft Project (MPX). X-Pert’s power is delivered via a user friendly graphical interface with default settings for all key functions. This allows each user to work with only those areas of the system needed to optimise control over their project, minimising the learning curve. As skills develop or project requirements change, additional features can be brought into play to maintain full control, enhance reporting and optimise outcomes.

Transmitters & Receivers
Dynamically link projects to projects, which may be separated by geographic location (WANs, LANs) without the need (or cost) of SQL databases within X-Pert to allow current status information to be transferred in real time across networks and the creation of integrated “super” projects of almost unlimited size.

Flexible Time Units and Calendars
X-Pert’s default settings provide the basic framework for most projects. However, advanced users may choose to work with any combination of weeks, days, shifts, hours, and/or minutes (eg 3 days, 2 hrs & 15 min) and have full control over the length of each working week, working day and shift to accurately model their working environment. Up to 200 different calendars can be created and allocated separately to tasks, resources and dependencies for complete management control and enhanced accuracy during time and resource analysis.

Merge
Allows complete blocks of project data to be copied, cloned and moved between different X-Pert projects as well as to and from project files created in the smaller Micro Planner Manager.

Standard & Custom Reports
X-Pert’s standard reports can be edited to adjust the time scale used, select & sort (filter) information and show (or hide) float, resources, etc. Standard reports include, Logic Networks (PERT Chart), Gantt Charts, Logic Linked (Time Scaled) Gantt Charts, Tables, Task Listings, Progress reports, “S-Curves”, Pie Charts, Histograms, WBS and Cost Reports. Customised reports may be adapted from existing standard reports or created from scratch. The WYSIWYG report designer allows the addition of logos and addresses as well as editing the X-Pert data fields displayed, fonts used, etc. All customised reports can be saved to the Hard Drive for future use with other project files.
